FH+H Among Nominees for Distinguished Service Award
FH+H is honored to announce that our firm has been nominated for the “Veteran Business Mentorship Award,” which is sponsored by the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce. The award honors an organization for actively integrating veteran-owned businesses and veteran entrepreneurs into the business community in the Northern Virginia and D.C. area.
As a veteran-owned, entrepreneurial law firm located in Tysons, FH+H makes a concerted effort to support those previously involved in military service.
“Our lawyers regularly represent military service members and veterans for matters including security clearance issues, administrative separations, and petitions for the correction of military records,” Managing Partner Tom Craig said. “They often do so for reduced cost and sometimes pro bono.”

Greater Washington Innovation Awards Recognizes FH+H
FH+H is pleased to announce that we are a nominee for the Greater Washington Innovation Awards, which celebrates thought leadership, innovation, and creativity in individuals and organizations in the DC metro area.
Our non-traditional firm brought innovation to the DC legal industry with Chisel, the first lawyer-only coworking space in the area.

Partner Jack White Earns NOVA Chamber Citizenship Award
The Chamber’s chairman presented White with the award, saying he earned the distinction from his commitment to counseling many companies, board of directors, municipalities, and a variety of individual and corporate clients on a wide array of matters.
At FH+H, White’s expertise spans the range of state and federal venues in several states through the United States Supreme Court. His extensive experience coupled with a strong dedication to clients makes White more than deserving of the Chamber’s award.
Partner France Hoang Honored as Most Impactful Veteran
Hoang served as an officer in the U.S. Army from 2009 to 2010, working in Southeast Afghanistan as the Executive Officer of a U.S. Army Special Forces Company that deployed for seven months of combat operations in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM.
Today as an FH+H partner, Hoang uses his unique and extensive experience with defense, intelligence, and homeland security industries to represent, advise, and counsel middle market companies on a wide variety of matters.
HillVets hosted a gala on March 15 to thank Hoang, along with the 99 other honored veterans, for going above and beyond in 2016. The celebration featured live performances and will be attended by several distinguished guests, such as Secretary Chuck Hagel, Secretary David Sulking, and Ambassador Mohib.
List of 25 Top Veterans Recognizes FH+H Counsel Phillip Carter
Counsel to FH+H Phillip Carter earned a spot on The Mighty 25, an annual list honoring veterans who are expected to do incredible, meaningful work across the nation over the next year.
Carter is dedicated to working with donors and organizations in order to help them understand the needs of veterans. Additionally, his research about issues facing veterans and military personnel helps to inform leaders about making positive differences in veterans' lives.
Carter currently works as a Senior Fellow and Director of the Military, Veterans, and Society Program at the Center for a New American Security, and he also has extensive government and military experience. Carter served in the Army for nine years, worked the Obama campaign as the National Veterans Director, and went on to serve as a Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense.With the effort Carter has put into helping the veteran community so far, FH+H is excited to see his next steps.
