Mr. Scully is a well-rounded corporate and commercial transactions attorney, providing strategic legal solutions to public and private companies.  He has longstanding experience advising on business acquisitions, corporate governance, finance and securities.    

Mr. Scully also counsels corporate clients in all aspects of commercial transactions, including outsourcing, technology procurement, real estate and immigration.    

Previously, Richard practiced in-house, providing business and legal advice to a public US telecommunications holding company and a foreign exchange trading concern. Before this, he worked at a global law firm, with a focus on corporate mergers and acquisitions and securities.

Prior to private practice, Mr. Scully served as a diplomat for the US Department of State, holding a security clearance and negotiating the acquisition and disposal of US real estate holdings abroad, including the exchange of properties in Germany following reunification, embassy land acquisitions in South America and Africa and complex lease negotiations in the Middle East and Asia.

Mr. Scully also held the position of Attorney/Adviser in the Visa Office, at the Department of State, issuing advisory opinions on immigration matters.

Richard lives in Washington D.C., and enjoys playing soccer, writing and laughing with his three charming children.
