The Law Offices of FH+H, PLLC announced that Phillip Carter has joined the Firm as Counsel. Mr. Carter’s expertise and experience meet at the intersection of law, business, and national security.
“Phil Carter brings our clients years of experience in government contracts and national security law, specifically his expertise in counseling clients on national security regulations relating to export controls and classified information,” said Tom Craig, FH+H managing partner.
In addition to his private sector experience, Mr. Carter has a diverse background in public service and government. He began his career as an Army officer, serving for several years in the active and reserve components as a military police and civil affairs officer. He has participated in and authored briefs on a number of major national security cases over the past decade.
Alongside his work for FH+H, Mr. Carter serves as a senior fellow at the Center for a New American Security, where his research focuses on issues facing veterans and military personnel, force structure and readiness issues, and civil-military relations.
Mr. Carter currently teaches as an adjunct professor of law at Georgetown University. He also serves on the editorial board of the Journal for National Security Law & Policy and continues to write extensively on legal and national security issues.
